We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in grooming various breeds of dogs. As a Dog Groomer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and appearance of pets, while also providing excellent customer service to pet owners. This position requires strong animal handling skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning for dogs.
Assess the condition of dogs' coats and skin, providing recommendations for grooming services.
Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to health and safety standards.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any concerns observed during grooming.
Handle pets safely and comfortably, ensuring their well-being throughout the grooming process.
Assist with kennel duties as needed, including feeding, walking, and monitoring pets.
Provide exceptional customer service to build lasting relationships with clients.
Requirements
Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary assistance or animal handling is preferred.
Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or equipment.
Knowledge of pet care practices and familiarity with various breeds is advantageous.
Previous experience in a kennel or veterinary environment is a plus.
